To take advantage of the explosive growth in the Chinese and Asia markets, traders need to be aware of the trading vehicles available.  There are many Chinese stocks that are trading on U.S markets via ADR’s.  An ADR (American Depositary Receipt) A negotiable certificate issued by a U.S. bank representing a specified number of shares (or one share) in a foreign stock that is traded on a U.S. exchange. ADRs are denominated in U.S. dollars, with the underlying security held by a U.S. financial institution overseas. ADRs help to reduce administration and duty costs that would otherwise be levied on each transaction. Below is an example of Chinese traded company traded ADR’s.

Another excellent way to trade the China markets in the U.S are by trading ETF’s (Exchange traded Funds).  An exchange traded fund is a security that tracks an index, a commodity or a basket of assets like an index fund, but trades like a stock on an exchange. ETF’s experience price changes throughout the day as they are bought and sold.   China ETF’s are plentiful and are easily traded in any brokerage account.  China ETF’s are listed below.
